countdown

YES! i'm excited to go that place even if that trip has completely wiped out my year's savings. when i get there, i shouldn't think of the money spent or how i'm ever gonna earn it back. drafted out a money chart and realized that after i've returned, i'll still be broke for at least a month. i've never spent so much on a single thing --and not an income-generating one at that--but potentially rewarding in other aspects.

ANYWAY, i just felt i had to send that message out to the universe. happy thoughts, a leap of faith, and all that positive goodness. 3 more days before we leave and YES, i am excited. will be back in 2 weeks so i'll dish out the verdict then.

adik as usual

must. not. marathon. another. koreanovela.

really! i have this tendency to really get into one thing and exhaust all my time and energy on it. suddenly, i remember my menudo and nkotb craze days. the other day, i spent 2 hours surfing kdrama reviews and crushie actors and actresses. i'm a regular 14-year-old.

watched "itsumo," a japanese drama and it was quite good. so maybe i should include Jdramas in my DVD marathon frenzy.

but it wasn't a total waste of time. after watching, i realized the following:
1. i miss having a work place and work friends.
2. i want to live on my own in this lifetime.
3. i want to try my hand in directing someday.
4. i want to edit video again.
5. i think i want to have highlights in my hair.

ok enough. no more Kdrama entries.

Asians rule!

Finally finished watching Dalja's spring today. Talk about a DVD Marathon. My dad was kind enough to let me hog the TV the whole day though I knew he was itching to watch Lakbay TV(he loves that channel.) I put off work until the very last minute 'coz I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight if I hadn't finished the whole thing.

Sooooo after watching, I just had to surf the net and read reviews AND it was nice to see that a good mix of Asians watch these dramas. On the above-mentioned Koreanovela--Singaporeans, Vietnamese and of course, Koreans, commented on the show. I felt so proud to be Asian. :-)

This reminds me of a trip to China a few years ago with friends for the Kunming Film Festival. After one of the screenings, we joined a group of Asian filmmakers for dinner. It was so much fun to converse with our Japanese, Indonesian, Korean and Chinese friends. It was so funny because the Indonesian kept saying that me and my friends looked like Indonesians. In turn, we kept telling her she looked Filipino. I felt this Asian connection and it was quite a high. Oh, and I loved how we all ate rice. :-)
