Launched!

Before I forget, I want to thank all the bee-yoo-ti-ful people who came to the SOL exhibit and book launch. And to those who wanted to come but had work--itchokay :-) Mas nauna pang nag-post about it si Don. And for those who are curious about what the book looks like, check out the online version at the Canvas website.

Anyway, I think March has been a pretty ok month--perhaps not raket-wise, but it definitely had a few, pleasant surprises up its sleeve. Re-acquainting with photography, a trip to the beach, my book, and a job opportunity (hopefully) waiting in the wing.

So aside from the negative stuff that I'm trying to block out (traveling again for work in two days, a lengthy project for which I don't know if I'll ever get paid, chocochip hips, etc.), I think March has been kinda cool. Maski super hot ang panahon, in fairnezzzzzzzz.

getaway

My family goes to Pundaquit, Zambales at least once a year. But last weekend was special because 1) my nephew and niece got to finally ride a carabao--something they (especially my nephew) have been pining for since last year.

2) It was a celebration of my kuya's and mom's birthdays. And since it's only mid-March, the beach wasn't crowded yet.

3) Spanky and Gelo came with us and we went to Capones island.

It was nice to see "outsiders" enjoy the Zamba experience. It made me appreciate the place and my family more.

talaandig

March 2007
-----

So i agreed to this out-of-town shoot, knowing that we were going to shoot organic coffee farming in cagayan de oro. When I got to our director's house before going to the airport at 3 am, I found out that we were going to Bukidnon to visit the Talaandig up in the mountains. I was totally unprepared; I only brought shorts and flip-flops so I had to borrow a warm jacket and pants because it was freezing up there.

And this time, I did bring a camera and it was such a pretty place...

Hehe don't really know how to resize the photos so some of them might look a little weird here.
