green with envy

just got back from a shoot in naga. after 26 years, (shoot, tanda ko na) nasilayan ko ulit ang Mayon Volcano at Cagsawa ruins...in person! sayang, nakalimutan ko yung camera so cellphone cam lang yung ginamit ko. at di ko pwedeng upload dito kasi 1) wala kong bluetooth at 2) wala kong cable. so iba na lang ang isusulat ko.

from left-right (dill, orange, thai basil, swiss mint, thai basil ulit, chocolate mint)

Na-inspire kami ng yummy plant stories ni Abi so bumili kami ng mga halaman sa Manila Seedling Bank in Quezon Avenue. Spanks first bought orange, thai basil and swiss mint.

Next time na pumunta siya, sumama na ako at bumili ng dill and choco mint.

The nice man at the store warned me na maselan ang dill (see above left na may tender, wispy leaves) but i took the chance. Sarap kasi ng natikman kong french bread with garlic butter and dill sprinkles sa birthday party ng friend namin.

True to their names, these plants smell yummy. Amazing how the choco mint leaves (after rubbing a leaf gently between your thumb and forefinger) really smell like choco mint! Spanky added some swiss mint leaves to a pitcher of iced tea and I could taste the diff. Goal namin for these plants: sana mabuhay at lumaki!

Para naman makagawa na kami ng garlic cheese and basil pizza. Sarrrrrap!
